DESCRIPTION:This 16-hour NRA Concealed Carry (CCW) Instructor course teaches the essential knowledge\, skills\, and attitude for organizing\, promoting\, and teaching NRA’s Basic CCW course. Instructor Candidates will demonstrate their organizational and teaching skills through practical exercises and must pass a written certification exam and the CCW Instructor Level shooting qualification. The course focuses on developing the ability to teach concealed carry and responsible pistol use with confidence. Topics include NRA Rules for Safe Gun Handling\, the principles of concealment\, the difference between cover and concealment\, drawing from the holster\, mental awareness\, developing the proper mindset for personal defense\, and clearing common stoppages. \nPrerequisites: must be a current Certified Pistol Instructor\, must have passed NRA Basic CCW\, must have completed Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within the last two years. If you need to take BIT\, contact Eric. The cost of BIT is $100. \nNote: This certification is not available to Apprentice or Assistant Pistol Instructors\, and Law Enforcement Division Handgun Instructor certification is not a substitute. \nPlease bring your handgun\, eye protection\, ear protection\, 150 rounds of ammunition\, pistol holster\, three magazines\, a magazine holster capable of holding two magazines\, pistol holster\, three magazines\, a magazine holster capable of holding two magazines\, and a jacket that can be closed (zippered) in the front.
